What is Floractive Nanoplasty?

Floractive Nanoplasty (also known as Nanoplastia/Nanoplastica) is a professional smoothing and manageability treatment designed to reduce frizz, boost shine, and soften the hair for easier day-to-day styling.

Floractive describes Nanoplasty as formaldehyde-free (as stated by the manufacturer) and it is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.

What does it do?

Most clients notice:

  • smoother, more manageable hair

  • reduced frizz and puffiness

  • high shine and softness

  • easier styling (often less time with the dryer/straightener)

Depending on your hair type and goals, Nanoplasty can soften curl and wave and may create a straighter finish. We’ll always talk through what’s realistic for your texture and hair history before we begin.

Who is it for?

Nanoplasty can be a great option if you:

  • struggle with frizz (especially in humidity)

  • want smoother hair without a “pin straight” look

  • want hair to feel softer and easier to style

  • have blonde or grey hair and want improved manageability (we select the appropriate formula and method for your hair)

How it works (in plain English)

Floractive Nanoplasty is designed to work with very small “nano” delivery technology and restorative ingredients to support manageability and shine without the harsh pre-wash stripping step used in some older systems.

In the salon, the result comes down to the details: selecting the right formula for your hair, applying it correctly, and using careful heat/temperature control. That’s why having a trained team matters—especially for blondes and more delicate hair types.

Ingredients & formula (the highlights)

Floractive’s formula includes a blend of organic acids, plant-based proteins, and nourishing oils. Ingredients referenced by the manufacturer include essential organic acids, hydrolysed vegetable keratin, and oils such as coconut, olive, and linseed.

If you have allergies or sensitivities and want to check suitability, let us know before your appointment and we can guide you.

How long does it last?

Floractive Nanoplasty can last up to 8 months (manufacturer guidance), but results vary depending on:

  • your hair type and texture

  • your previous colour/chemical history

  • how often you wash your hair

  • your home care routine and heat styling habits

We’ll give you a personalised expectation during your consult.

Home care after Nanoplasty

Floractive advises you don’t have to switch to sulphate-free shampoo after Nanoplasty. That said, the products you use at home still affect longevity, shine, and feel—so we’ll recommend a routine that suits your hair (Floractive home care is available if you’d like it, but it’s not a requirement).

Colouring/bleaching around Nanoplasty (timing guide)

Because every head of hair is different, we’ll always tailor the plan—but as a general guide:

  • Bleaching: allow around 2 weeks before or after Nanoplasty

  • Colour/toner: allow around 3 days to 1 week after Nanoplasty

If you’re booking blonding, grey blending, or a toner refresh, we’ll help you schedule the safest order of services.

Swimming (chlorine/salt water)

Chlorine and salt water can be drying for any hair. If you swim regularly, we’ll recommend a simple protection routine (usually a good leave-in and a rinse plan) to help maintain softness and shine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Floractive Nanoplasty “safe”?

We’re careful with language here, because everyone’s hair and scalp are different. Floractive Nanoplasty is described by the manufacturer as formaldehyde-free and is designed to be a more modern alternative to older straightening systems.

Suitability depends on your hair history, scalp sensitivity, and goals. If you have allergies, sensitivities, scalp conditions, or a medical concern, please let us know and consider checking with your healthcare professional.

Can I have Nanoplasty on coloured or chemically treated hair?

Often, yes—but it depends on your hair’s condition and what services you’re having (especially with blonding/bleaching). We’ll assess your hair history and recommend the best approach for your situation.

Can I wash my hair straight away?

Yes. You can wash your hair immediately after the service and again whenever you need.

Can I still use heat tools afterwards?

Yes—Nanoplasty doesn’t stop you from styling your hair. We recommend using a heat protectant and keeping tools at a sensible temperature to support hair condition and longevity of results.

Is it vegan-friendly and cruelty-free?

Floractive Nanoplasty is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free (as stated by the manufacturer).

Will Nanoplasty make my blonde hair brassy?

Floractive has different formulas for different hair levels, and we tailor the method (including temperature control) to help support tone—especially for blonde and grey hair. As with any professional service, results can vary depending on porosity and colour history, so we’ll talk you through what to expect.
